For the first time in decades, the United States surpassed Saudi Arabia and Russia to become the top crude oil producer in the world.

This kind of history isn’t made by accident. It’s forged by the hard work of energy workers across Oklahoma and America’s oil producing regions. Oklahomans can take great pride in being a part of this milestone in U.S. history. As the fourth-largest producer of crude oil in America, the energy produced in our state is directly impacting global markets and driving positive change.

Thanks to the hard-working folks in the oil and natural gas industry, we’re one step closer to energy independence and the energy we need to power our future.

EnergyHQ is powered by the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board – OERB – which is voluntarily funded by the state's oil and natural gas producers and royalty owners. The OERB provides free environmental restoration of abandoned well sites and works to educate the state's citizens about the oil and natural gas industry.
