Nathaniel Harding – Serving Our Country, Community and Industry

When your father and grandfather have been running their own businesses successfully for decades, the expectations for running your own company are pretty darn high. This is something Nathaniel Harding knows all too well. Fortunately for him, he’s had the opportunity to learn from some of the best and brightest minds in the industry. His experiences, from being a decorated Air Force captain working at NATO HQ in  Afghanistan to working on off shore rigs have inspired this third-generation oilman to run his own company his own way.

Nathaniel is President and Founder of Antioch Energy, an Oklahoma-based exploration and production company. The newly formed energy company focuses on the acquisition and development of conventional and unconventional oil and natural gas properties primarily in Oklahoma. Already employing more than a dozen people and ongoing operations in ten counties, Nathaniel and his partner are positioning Antioch for long-term success.

Nathaniel’s drive and enthusiasm are apparent – he’s been named one of OKC’s most admired CEOs and been included on every 40 under 40 list of high-achievers in the state.

When he isn’t expanding the company’s exploration and production efforts, Nathaniel is working to make OKC a better place. By serving on the MAPS 3 advisory board and the Streetcar Subcommittee, Nathaniel envisions a new downtown for residents and businesses alike.

We caught up with Nathaniel to hear more about being a young entrepreneur in energy, how his military background influences leadership, and how he is shaping Oklahoma City through MAPS.

EnergyHQ is powered by the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board – OERB – which is voluntarily funded by the state's oil and natural gas producers and royalty owners. The OERB provides free environmental restoration of abandoned well sites and works to educate the state's citizens about the oil and natural gas industry.
